IT Developer, Sustainability
By leveraging data, you will directly support farmers and help build innovative, data-driven solutions that promote sustainable dairy production. As a Data Engineer your primary focus will be to bring the requirements from the business to life and ensure the future of sustainability in Arla and to support the business in achieving strategic sustainability goals.
Lars Sarbæk, Senior IT Product Architect. Read more about our part of the business here Inside Arla How you will make an impact As a Data Engineer, you will work with a wide range of complex tasks and collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Developers and business Subject Matter Experts.
You will translate business needs into robust technical solutions and interact professionally with stakeholders across the organisation. Your typical tasks will include Build Web API or Web Services to extract, receive, expose or send data using the standard python web framework inside the department Build Data Pipelines in Databricks using DBT Create Web Applications using Python Dimensional Modelling inside the Data Warehouse Work on expanding Infrastructure as a Code setup for the existent platform or custom applications What will make you successful To thrive in this role, you communicate clearly, enjoy working in an international environment, and take ownership of your work.
You have a structured, analytical mindset, pay attention to detail, and are comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken. Furthermore the ideal candidate brings 2+ years of experience in data engineering, backend development or similar roles.Experience working in a software development environment with DevOps, IaC and CI/CD practices. Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL technologies such as Spark SQL, MSSQL or PostgreSQL. Strong Python skills within APIs, data processing and automation. Knowledge of data engineering concepts such as data warehousing, lakehouse or big data solutions.
