IT Product Architect - Data Foundation - Gdansk or Aarhus

Shape the Future of Data at Arla As the IT Product Architect for Data Foundation, you will lead the architecture of one of Arla’s most vital technology platforms. Our data foundation is built on two strategic platforms - Azure Databricks and SAP data ecosystem.
In this role, you will take ownership of the Azure platform, ensuring it remains robust, scalable, and fit for purpose. How you will make an impact As IT Product Architect for Data Foundation, you will be overall responsible for the product architecture, technical roadmap and non-functional requirements.
You will work closely with the Head of IT Product to ensure the architecture aligns with business goals while keeping technical debt manageable. Sitting within the IT & Digital Platforms organization and reporting to the IT Architecture Partner, you will act as the technical authority ensuring our data platform remains healthy and ready for the future.
You will play a key role in tool and technology selection, setting quality standards, and coaching specialists to foster a high-performing technical culture. Along with the development team, you will translate architectural direction and requirements into tangible value for our customers.
Your key responsibilities will include Owning and driving the product architecture to ensure it is fit for purpose and aligns with the vision set by the Head of IT Product. Engaging with customers and stakeholders to understand their business needs, providing architectural support to drive the adoption of data foundation capabilities.
Building and maintaining the technical roadmap for the Data Foundation product to ensure long-term scalability and stability. Ensuring compliance with Arla IT standards, security protocols, and architectural governance. Managing technical debt by maintaining a tracker and driving initiatives to keep it manageable.
Coaching IT Specialists on architectural matters to build technical excellence and professional growth within the team. Setting quality and documentation standards for the product to ensure transparency and operational excellence. What will make you successful To succeed in this role, you bring a strong blend of technical mastery, architectural vision, and collaborative leadership.
You have a proven track record of designing complex IT architectures within large organizations and the ability to balance technical ideals with pragmatic business needs. We are looking for a candidate with Extensive experience in IT architecture, specifically within modern data environments.
Deep technical expertise in Databricks or Azure Integration Services or Azure Data Services. Experience working with platform engineering in a product-led organization to drive scalable and stable technology platforms. Proven ability to lead technical decision-making, including tool selection and integration design.
Experience with agile methodologies and maintaining technical roadmaps in an enterprise setting. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to coach specialists and engage with customers and stakeholders. Fluency in English at a professional level.
