As we continuously drive for growth and plan to expand our team, we are looking for a highly driven and achievement-orientated Legal Student Assistant to be part of our team.
The role
We are looking for a Legal Student Assistant currently enrolled in a bachelor's program or in the first year of a master's program within Law or Business Law, to become part of our Legal & Finance team.
Are you passionate about working as an in-house counsel in the future? Join us and you will have the opportunity to practice handling various legal requests throughout the organization, supporting the contractual agenda and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
We expect that the weekly workload will range from 15 to 20 hours, and, of course, we are flexible during exam periods. The role is on-site, so you will be working from our newly renovated office in Copenhagen, Denmark.
What you will do- Support drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements (including B2B customer agreements, partnership agreements, (software) supplier/vendor agreements, license agreements, non-disclosure agreements etc.)
- Assist with reviewing and updating our terms and conditions for existing and new products in our portfolio
- Inform and advise internal functions on GDPR and other regulatory frameworks (e.g. marketing law)
- Help maintain corporate governance and compliance processes
- Maintain our legal templates and educate different teams on how to use them
- Work with the Capture One product team and our external law firm on IPR matters to ensure optimum protection and management of our intellectual property
- Currently enrolled student within Law / Business Law (Cand.jur., Cand.merc.jur., L.L.M. or equivalent)
- Attention to detail and motivation to broaden knowledge in commercial, corporate, data protection and intellectual property law
- Adept at balancing risk and opportunity, and thinking creatively to enable the business to make smart decisions
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts such as regulatory obligations and legal risks to business partners in an easily comprehensible, business-oriented manner
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts is a plus
- Proficiency in English
- Be based in the Capital Region of Denmark
