Software Engineer
The systems are used internally across the company, including in research, laboratory operations, pharmacology, and data analysis. The role requires someone who can write reliable and maintainable code, take ownership of system architecture, and ensure long-term technical quality.
You will join a stable team of developers, data scientists, and a product owner who work together to deliver practical and well-functioning software. What you’ll be doing Develop and maintain modern web applications — both frontend and backend — in close collaboration with scientists, data experts, and stakeholders. Contribute to our suite of internally used web apps, APIs, data pipelines, and AI tools.
Shape future aspects of digitalization, from database design to infrastructure, based on your interests and expertise. Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and the product owner to deliver integrated, enterprise-level solutions. Share knowledge and support the professional growth of team members.
What we’re looking for You have experience with development of complex and scalable software products. Strong skills in designing, building, and maintaining robust APIs and services in enterprise environments. 5+ years of expertise in building backend API layer from a design and architectural perspective.
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for knowledge sharing. Motivated by the opportunity to help shape the codebase, and the broader technical direction of a purpose-driven team. Experience with at least two of the programming languages that we use R (Shiny, Tidyverse) Python (FastAPI) Typescript (React) Experience with and a preference to working with agile methodologies Experience from the life science or biotech industry is an advantage We are open for candidates of all experience levels and the position will be tailored for the right candidate.
