In the Health Area, our dedication to creating a positive impact drives us to work together towards a healthier future for all. The area is led by Chief Scientific Officer, Professor Flemming Konradsen, and consists of approximately 60 dedicated colleagues placed in six different departments who are passionate about promoting and improving equity in the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic diseases, infectious diseases, nutrition and other significant health outcomes.

We are committed to engaging in global health partnerships and improving food security, and local food systems in low- and middle-income countries as well as in humanitarian contexts. We support research, innovation, implementation, as well as health economics and policy analysis in the Nordic region and globally.

We are now seeking student assistants to provide support across the various departments with diverse analytical and administrative tasks.

The Job

As a Student Assistant, you will support the Health area across all six departments and work closely with other student assistants. The role combines general administrative tasks with more specialised assignments linked to your assigned department.

While all student assistants are expected to assist with ad hoc administrative tasks, specialised tasks will mainly come from your assigned department. You will work closely with departmental colleagues and have a designated contact person who provides task allocation and day-to-day support.

Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting in the planning, implementation and maintenance of various projects, programmes, and partnerships
  • Supporting fact-finding, stakeholder mapping, scientific literature reviews, data collection and qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Conducting minor analyses and preparing written materials
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations
  • Assisting in coordination, booking and execution of seminars, conferences, meetings and workshops, including planning missions, preparing briefing documents, and writing minutes
  • Support communication efforts, incl. drafting material for social media platforms, newsletters and website maintenance
  • Handling various administrative and ad hoc tasks

As part of your role, you will receive continuous feedback and engage in sparring with the team, and you will become a part of the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s student network. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend and gain insights from a variety of events, symposia, and experts at the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

The working hours will be approximately 12-15 hours a week with flexibility in relation to your studies. You will become part of a group of nine student assistants in the Health Area and will usually divide the days between you.
