Contact organisation We are looking for volunteers for our event group in Aarhus.The event group aims to plan various events that focus on Central America and create increased understanding and connection across cultures.
The event group at MAK has, among other things, helped plan film screenings that focus on social and political challenges in Latin America, given presentations about the political situation in Nicaragua, participated in the Aarhus Festival Week and done a lot of other exciting information and communication work.
So if you want to be in charge of the next film screening, presentation, concert, festival, comunity dinner or something completely different, join the event group and help put the focus on Central America!We are constantly looking for new volunteers, so if you want to be part of this cultural and educational community, you now have the opportunity to become part of our dedicated volunteer team.
As part of the event group, you can help to: Participate in the creative concept development of the events Participate in the coordination work and help organize upcoming events Assist in carrying out practical tasks before and during events Contribute to
- or strengthen your language skills as part of an international community At the same time, get the opportunity to meet people from different cultures Do promotional work on social media (SoMe) Who is MAK?
The Central American Committee (MAK) is a solidarity organization that has worked to strengthen the social and political conditions in Central America since 1980.
MAK actively supports the struggle for self-determination and social justice and prioritizes direct cooperation with popular organizations in Central America.The Central America Committee has three main activities: Dispatch of labor and solidarity brigades to Costa Rica and Guatemala Project work in Central America in collaboration with local partners Education and information work in Denmark If you live in or around Aarhus, and the volunteer work and community at MAK interests you, don't hesitate to contact us!

Mellemamerika Komiteen (MAK) er en solidaritetsorganisation, der siden 1980 har arbejdet for at styrke det fattige flertals sociale og politiske vilkår i Mellemamerika.Mellemamerika Komiteen støtter aktivt kampen for selvbestemmelse og social retfærdighed og prioriterer det direkte samarbejde med de folkelige organisationer i Mellemamerika.
MAK samarbejder med en del forskellige partnere i Nicaragua, Honduras og Guatemala- og har tidligere også haft samarbejde i El Salvador.
