apartmentNovo Nordisk Foundation placeCharlottenlund calendar_month

Are you passionate about project management and driven by creating structure, progress, and alignment in complex initiatives? Do you want to lead one of the most important digital transformations at the Novo Nordisk Foundation?

In Digital & Business Excellence we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the design and implementation of a new Grant Management System (GMS).

The new GMS will shape and support the Foundation’s core business processes related to grant administration and governance. This is a maternity cover during a critical early phase of the project, where strong project leadership, stakeholder coordination, and structured delivery are essential.

The Digital & Business Excellence department is a cross-functional team designed to support and accelerate the Foundation’s strategic and digital ambitions. The department consists of 17 dedicated professionals working across four teams: Business Excellence, Digital & AI, Business Solutions, and Data Excellence.

Our culture is characterised by a fun, supportive, and informal atmosphere, coupled with high ambitions and a strong drive to continuously enhance our organisational capabilities.

The position

As our new Project Manager in Business Solutions, you will be responsible for driving progress and maintaining a robust delivery model for the GMS project. The project spans requirements gathering, business process design, management of governance structures, compliance requirements, and collaboration with external vendors.

You will lead milestones, coordination, stakeholder management, risk management, communication, and change management. You will facilitate workshops, clarify scope, structure decision material, and ensure that initiatives move forward with transparency and momentum.

You will collaborate closely with other teams and departments across the Foundation and with the system provider SmartSimple and potential implementation partners.

Your key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Drive the overall GMS project plan, including milestones, sequencing, and critical path.
  • Maintain and continuously strengthen a clear and transparent delivery model.
  • Drive initiatives forward and ensure steady progress across workstreams.
  • Facilitate workshops and cross-functional alignment sessions with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to define scope, clarify requirements, and advance initiatives.
  • Prepare business cases, scope descriptions, and decision material for all governance levels, including executive management.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and vendor relations.
  • Oversee change management activities, including communication and organisational readiness.

We are currently strengthening our ways of working across Digital & Business Excellence, including structured use of agile principles and Azure DevOps. In this role, you are expected to operate confidently within a modern delivery setup, while maintaining clear overall project governance, roadmap ownership, and executive reporting.

You will join a dedicated team that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. As a team we believe work should be fun and engaging in an informal atmosphere – and we hope that you will contribute to this. You will be referring to and aligning priorities with the Senior Solutions Lead of the Business Solutions team.

Your work is expected to be carried out within normal working hours and from the Foundation’s headquarters in Tuborg Havn to the extent possible.
