Senior Investment Operations Specialist - (12-15 months parental leave)

The Job
As Senior Investment Operations Specialist at Novo Holdings, you will join the Investment Operations team anchored within the Finance & Operations department in Hellerup, Denmark. In this role, you will ensure high-quality support to investment teams across Novo Holdings’ private and public portfolios, contributing to operational excellence, financial compliance, and continued process improvement.
Our diverse and growing investment portfolio exceeds DKK 200 billion and includes life science companies across all development stages, as well as a wide range of public and private equities, bonds, real estate, and infrastructure investments.
This is a full-time, maternity cover for 12 months, workplace Hellerup, Denmark.
Your primary responsibilities will include- Providing high-quality middle- and back-office deal support to the investment teams across private and public asset classes.
- Supporting trade capture, settlement, corporate actions, and reconciliation processes in SimCorp Dimension (SCD).
- Overseeing the operational setup of our Alternative investments, including capital calls, distributions and capital account statements.
- Supporting compliance reporting and requests within different markets.
- Managing and optimising outsourced services related to trade matching, settlement, safekeeping, and asset servicing.
- Supporting cash and liquidity management processes for Novo Holdings and the Novo Nordisk Foundation and its subsidiaries, ensuring financial compliance and robust internal controls.
- Contributing to the maintenance of the financial control framework and driving standardisation and process improvements across the organisation.
You will report to Mia Bøttzauw-Jørgensen, Head of Investment Operations, and join a highly skilled and collaborative team that values curiosity, professionalism, and accountability. Professional and Personal Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in investment operations or back-office functions within institutional investors, asset managers, or banks.
- Solid understanding of the post-trade life cycle for equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, and alternative investments.
- Experience with investment management platforms such as SimCorp Dimension and strong IT skills within Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of financial market regulations and IFRS accounting standards.
- Experience working in an international environment and handling external relationships with banks and custodians.
