Four-stroke Small Bore Testing & Control Department in Holeby Do you want to take part of the new revolution of future fuels for the marine industry? Our Four-stroke Small Bore Testing & Control Department in Holeby is looking for a new colleague with an interest in and knowledge of engine combustion, fuels, and electronics.
You will be involved in all processes (planning, testing, verification and administration) related to our entire portfolio of four-stroke medium-speed diesel and dual-fuel engines; both generating sets (GenSets) and propulsion engines. A typical day in this position will consist of a mix of development work, support, data study and other design related tasks, among other engine part, parameters and electrical control system for the engine.
The job includes travel activities, as the testing will be carried out at our licensees’ and customers’ sites. You will play an important role in: In this role, you will be at the forefront of engine performance and innovation, contributing to both operational excellence and the green transition.
Your tasks will include validating engine performance and upgrades, conducting field observations and operational follow-ups, and performing full-scale engine measurements including planning, evaluation, and reporting. You will also be involved in field tests and component inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on newly delivered products, and conducting parent engine performance tests and certifications.
You will help develop retrofit solutions for our engine portfolio to support the green transition. You will participate in shop tests and development projects, and plan, execute, and evaluate travel to licensees, shipyards, and vessels worldwide.
Additionally, you’ll contribute to the decarbonization of our small bore four-stroke portfolio and ensure readiness for future fuels and zero-emission technologies. In other words, your tasks will be varied, impactful, and central to shaping the future of sustainable engine technology.
We imagine that you: The ideal candidate has a solid technical background with knowledge and interest in combustion engines, both diesel and gas, and their control systems. In short we imagine that you can see yourself in most of the following: Are a Marine, Mechanical, or Electrical engineer (or similar) with the following technical skills: Have expertise in engine dynamics and parameters.
Possess thorough knowledge about diesel and gas combustion engines. Understand electrical control systems and engine integration. Are familiar with fuels and dynamics. Can communicate effectively in English writing and spoken (Danish is an advantage).

The department handles all automation and control systems in our portfolio, including parameters and adjustments. We are dealing with testing of new engine types, performance layouts and field tests.
