Subsystem Architect with experience in digital electronics
Weibel Scientific A/S Lillerød
Subsystem Architect with experience in digital electronics Do you have in-depth knowledge of digital hardware engineering, and do you want to use your experience in an international organization developing world-class Doppler Radars? At Weibel you will join a family-owned company that develops and produces state-of-the-art radar systems.
We can offer a great opportunity where you get to use your technical skills in an innovative environment where our goal is to push the performance of radars to the limit. We have a full-scale in-house production facility that allows us to explore new solutions in close collaboration with our production team without compromising quality.
Our biggest asset is our talented employees, and we believe that by creating an environment that fosters open and curious discussions we can reach the best possible solutions. About the position As our new colleague you will have a central role in the development of subsystem architectures including system-level documentation.
You will work as a link between our systems engineering team and hardware design engineers to secure compliance to overall requirements while enabling the desired system functionality. The position will include the following tasks: Development of subsystem architectures e.g., subsystem breakdown while evaluating architectural and conceptual implementation options for Tx and Rx signal chains.
Develop the requirements and specifications for the modules making up the antenna subsystems by defining the development tasks to the design engineers. Coordinating technical solutions with systems engineers, design engineers, manufacturing representatives etc.
while assessing and maintaining an overview of technical risks. Defining requirements to subsystem elements e.g., high resolution ADC modules, FPGA-based controllers and securing compliance to applicable standards etc. Facilitating design support by reviewing and approving designs of subsystems.
Driving characterization, mathematical modeling, and simulation of subsystems. Roadmapping and ensuring that developed solutions are aligned with our platform roadmaps to enable reuse in future deliveries. Collaboration with customers on requirements and design reviews.
Executing integration tests and verification on subsystem level in modern LAB facilities. About you You thrive in a dynamic project-driven environment where you work both independently and in close collaboration with your team and cross-functional stakeholders.
You embrace continuous learning and prefer a fast-working pace, that enables you to get involved in simultaneous R&D activities – some requiring immediate focus while others are mapped into structured project plans. Your CV should include: University degree within electrical engineering, physics or similar – preferably with a specialization in digital hardware engineering for RF/MW applications.
Analytical mindset and ability to break down complex challenges while keeping a holistic overview. Experience with design of digital and/or mixed-signal circuitry from concept over schematics to layout and verification. Mathematical characterization and modelling of hardware systems incl.
scenario simulations. Understanding of regulatory requirements for radio, safety, and EMC. Experience with systems or concept engineering and related methodologies such as MBSE, SysML, UML, and related tools is considered an advantage. Contact and application Please apply at our website using the ”Apply” button.
If you have any questions, you are very welcome to contact Engineering Manager, Adin Kanlic on adk@weibel.dk The application deadline January 25th, 2026. It is a prerequisite for this position that you can provide a criminal record with no remarks and obtain a security clearance.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
