Funding Project Manager
If so, this role offers real responsibility, visibility, and impact.We are looking for a Funding Project Manager to lead and execute several of GomSpace’s funded projects from inception to successful completion.Your RoleYou’ll work in the Product Management department, closely collaborating with Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure that funding projects are aligned with our product roadmap and deliver learning and value across the organization.In this role, you will lead externally funded projects involving consortium partners, funding authorities such as Innovation Fund Denmark, and space agencies like ESA.
You will have full responsibility for project execution, progress reporting, financial oversight, and stakeholder management—ensuring transparency, compliance, and successful milestone delivery.Your tasks include:Executing and reporting on funded projects from start to completionLeading and coordinating international consortiums and collaborations with funding authoritiesManaging project milestones, progress reporting, and cash flow trackingEnsuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining full project overviewManaging internal and external stakeholders, including ESA, consortium partners, and funding institutionsShort- and Long-Term SuccessIn the initial phases, success means:Establishing strong ownership of assigned funding projectsDelivering clear, timely project status and financial reportingBuilding trust and effective collaboration with internal teams, consortium partners, and funding authoritiesLonger term, you’ll take ownership of:Leading multiple funding projects simultaneously with full accountabilityEnsuring consistent milestone achievement and proactive issue reportingContributing already in the capture phase to secure smooth handover and alignment with the company roadmapWhat You BringYou’re an experienced project manager with a strong understanding of externally funded projects and complex stakeholder environments.
M.Sc. EE or similar)Have 5–10 years of experience in project management, preferably including funded projects or bidsAre confident managing project execution, reporting, and financial oversightUnderstand how to align funding activities with product and technology roadmapsCommunicate clearly and professionally in English, both written and verbalWho You AreYou’re not just managing projects
