Engineering System & Tools Specialist
You will help ensure that our engineering organisation can work efficiently, consistently and in a scalable way across sites and disciplines, while our systems support both daily operations and future growth. About the position This role sits at the intersection of product development, digital tools, and business processes, with a direct impact on how product data and documentation support execution across the value chain.
We are looking for an Engineering System & Tools Specialist to help stabilize and evolve the systems and tools used in product development during a period of significant change. The position supports an ongoing ERP transformation while contributing to the early assessment and definition of a future PDM/PLM solution.
The role combines hands-on system and process support with active involvement in defining future requirements, data structures, and integration needs. You will help ensure that daily operations remain reliable while supporting the establishment of scalable, well-governed ways of working.
Working closely with stakeholders across product development, operations and IT, you will contribute to consistent and high-quality data flow from design through release and into downstream use. Key responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: Provide day-to-day support and continuity for systems and tools used in product development, acting as a backfill resource during the ERP project Support engineering teams by maintaining stable workflows, tools, and documentation practices during periods of change Contribute to assessment and requirement definition for a future PDM/PLM platform, representing user and process needs Map current product development workflows and identify opportunities for standardization, simplification, and improved scalability Support definition of integration requirements between PDM/PLM, ERP, and 2D/3D design tools Contribute to master data governance, including product structures, BOMs, numbering principles, and documentation standards Support product lifecycle and release processes to ensure reliable and consistent data for operational use Participate as a subject-matter contributor in cross-functional initiatives related to systems, data, and process alignment Support documentation, testing, issue resolution, and user enablement activities Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product development, Operations, and IT to ensure effective handover and data consistency About you You are comfortable working in roles that combine operational support with process and system improvement You take a structured and pragmatic approach to your work and pay attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture You are motivated by improving data quality, transparency, and consistency across tools and processes You are comfortable working in environments where systems and ways of working are still being defined You collaborate well across teams and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders You are proactive, reliable, and self-driven supporting change while maintaining day-to-day stability Professional qualifications University education in Engineering or equivalent 3-5 years’ experience working with systems and processes supporting product development in an industrial or manufacturing environment Experience working with engineering system or tools, such as CAD, CPQ and product configuration system Experience working with supporting integration between PDM/PLM, ERP, and 2D/3D design tools Good understanding of product documentation, drawings, assemblies, and product structures Familiarity with PDM/PLM concepts and lifecycle management (platform experience may vary) Understanding of master data principles and data quality, including product structures, BOMs, and documentation standards Experience supporting system assessments, tool implementations, or ERP-related initiatives is an advantage Ability to translate user needs into structured requirements and practical system considerations Comfortable working cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing engineering, quality, supply chain, and IT Professional working proficiency in English and Danish, written and spoken What we offer You will become part of a well-established, Danish, family-owned export company with a strong professional community and high technical ambitions.
