Executive Assistant to Chief Portfolio Officer & Chief Financial Officer (cover)
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Executive Assistant for an 11-month parental leave cover (ideally December 2025-October 2026) to support the Chief Portfolio Officer (CPO) and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Novo Nordisk Foundation with a balanced focus across both leaders during the initial months and primary emphasis on the CPO from March 2026 onward.
The role
As Executive Assistant (EA), you will be a trusted partner to the CPO and CFO, enabling Executive Management to translate the Foundation’s Strategy 2030 into actionable plans. Your role will include bridging strategic ambitions with execution, ensuring proactive follow-up on decisions and driving initiatives across the CPO and CFO’s responsibilities.
In this role, you will work closely with the EAs and Personal Assistants (PAs) across the Executive Management Team, the Leadership Teams of the CPO and CFO, as well as interact broadly across the foundation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the CPO and CFO in preparing for Board and Chairmanship meetings as well as Leadership Team Meetings, including drafting high-quality memos and presentations in collaboration with managers and colleagues in other departments
- For the CPO, your tasks will include supporting portfolio management and international engagement, ensuring proactive follow-up on tasks and decisions, fostering global collaboration and ensuring coherence with the Foundation’s international priorities
- For the CFO, your tasks will include coordination efforts to ensure smooth and effective processes, strong operational backbone, business development and finance-related matters
- Serving as a liaison, communicating clearly and professionally on behalf of the CPO & CFO
Requirements
We are looking for a person with a strong dedication to tasks and a motivation to be part of a small team. At the same time, the role offers a broad organisational impact and a wide interface across the Foundation, engaging with stakeholders at all levels.You have at least three years of relevant experience in management support, coordination of larger cross-organisational projects or implementation of corporate strategy from management consulting, larger private companies, or the government central administration, preferably within science, education, or innovation.
It is not a requirement to have experience within finance to support the CFO.
Furthermore, we expect that you have:
- A relevant master’s degree in business, economics, political science or other relevant areas
- A structured, systematic, and independent way of working with the ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining strong attention to detail and high-quality deliveries
- Experience with management support and interacting with many different stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent communication skills, as well as excellent verbal and written skills in English
