Student Assistant for Group Accounting and Reporting

As Student Assistant you will work closely with finance colleagues as well with rest of the organization and will have the opportunity to develop your accounting and collaboration skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

You will become part of the Group Accounting and Reporting team who are responsible for all external financial reporting, internal controls and group controlling in the Ascendis Group.
The team you will be joining consists of 4 employees, which are characterized by good team spirit, highly skilled, and working in a great environment.
You will be reporting to Jacob Herum Nielsen, Senior Manager in Group Accounting and Reporting, located in Hellerup.
As our new Student Assistant, your tasks will include:
- Prepare templates and documentation for financial reporting, including improvements and automation
- Support maintenance of internal control programs
- Assist in coordinating and planning team tasks and audits
- Participate in projects across finance departments, including tasks related to establishing new foreign entities
- Perform other related tasks within Group Accounting and Reporting
Your Profile
Ideally, you have started your studies or plan to start studies in the fields of accounting, finance or business administration.
You are a highly motivated individual who enjoys being challenged and working in collaborative environments, where you demonstrate the ability to structure your work, follow-through, and complete your tasks.
Furthermore, you have- Flair for numbers and structure
- Interest in or experience working with advanced MS Excel functionality
- Interest in or experience working with financial statements and external reporting frameworks (IFRS. Danish GAAP and SEC reporting)
- Highly reliable and attention-to-details
- Strong work ethics
- Willingness to learn
Experience in using financial reporting systems is considered an advantage.
Also, you are proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Work hours: The average working hours are 10-15 hours per week. Varying work hours are to be expected, especially during quarter closure.Place of work: Ascendis Pharma headquarters reside in Tuborg Havn in Hellerup.
