Sagitta Family Office is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our team

Sagitta Family Office holds a significant ownership stake in 3Shape A/S, a company we co-founded. In addition to our investments, we run multiple internal R&D and engineering projects, driving innovation across a wide range of industries.

Our work spans robotics, med-tech, life sciences, sustainability, and healthcare. We are looking for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on, multidisciplinary environment -someone who can move seamlessly between concept development, prototyping, supplier dialogue, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Design, prototype, and iterate mechanical and electromechanical solutions for internal R&D projects
• Drive product and concept development from early idea to functional prototypes
• Work closely with suppliers and external partners on sourcing, manufacturing, and component selection
• Support development teams across disciplines (mechanical, electronics, software) to ensure cohesive product design
• Build and test prototypes using a variety of tools and fabrication methods (e.g. CAD, 3D printing, machining, etc.)
• Contribute to problem-solving across projects - from design challenges to practical implementation
• Participate in shaping new concepts aligned with Sagitta’s long-term innovation strategy

• Mechanical design and product development in Solidworks
• Prototyping and hands-on engineering work
• Working with suppliers, manufacturers, or external partners is a plus
• Developing physical products or systems, ideally in a multidisciplinary environment
• Basic understanding of electronics and embedded systems (not as a primary focus, but enough to collaborate effectively)

• Hands-on and pragmatic, with a strong bias toward building and testing
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a holistic view of engineering challenges
