Research coordinator Department of Neuroscience

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled research coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our human neuroscience and neurorehabilitation laboratories from 1 August 2026. The successful candidate will be working closely together with the scientific research team to facilitate a successful outcome of research projects in the lab and in collaboration with research partners in Denmark and abroad.

About the position

You will be part of an active and vibrant research environment where your role will be to manage various practical aspects in relation to research projects e.g.
  • Planning of trials including trial agreements and organizing permits from ethics committee,
  • Data management including GDPR compliance, ensuring that data is anonymized correctly and stored correctly, cooperation agreements with hospital departments, secure exchange of data to and from hospital departments – including in and out of the healthcare platform.
  • Introduce students to laboratory work and welcome new employees
  • Ensure safe laboratory environment including securing first aid options on the laboratory floor
  • Procurement and bills handling
  • Reimbursement of travel costs
  • Facilitate recruitment and renumeration of test persons
  • Collaboration with other technical and administrative staff in the department
  • Arrangement of meetings and conferences
  • Helping in arranging and organizing teaching courses at pre- and postgraduate level
Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master in biomedical and health sciences
  • Experience in laboratory management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to supervise and train laboratory staff
  • Ability to manage laboratory resources and equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Terms of employment

The average weekly working hours are 28-32 hours per week. The employment and salary are made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations)
