Copenhagen Business School - Student Assistant for Research Project on Organizational Tools and Principles

At the Department of Organisation, we are seeking a student assistant to support a research project exploring classic and contemporary organisational tools and principles. The position offers a high degree of flexibility, including during exam periods, and has a fixed duration of 18 months with the possibility of extension.

Work tasks

As a student assistant, you will work with Professor Signe Vikkelsø and colleagues involved in the project. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting data (e.g., documents and interviews)
  • Organising data (e.g., documents, interview transcripts, meeting notes)
  • Analysing and coding data
  • Mapping relevant academic literature

Your primary workplace will be the Department of Organisation at Copenhagen Business School (CBS).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • You are a bachelor's or master's student in the social sciences (e.g., sociology or business administration), preferably with knowledge of and interest in Organisation Theory and/or Science and Technology Studies (STS).
  • You have experience with qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • You have strong written communication skills in both English and Danish.
  • You can work independently and in a structured, systematic manner.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment takes place in accordance with the HK organisational agreement and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Publicly Employed Organisations (OAO-S Collective Agreement).

The salary currently ranges between DKK 141,14 and DKK 148,06 per hour and is dependent on previous employment in the office profession and level of education. The pension contribution amounts to 16% of the pensionable salary components.

It is a prerequisite for employment that you are an active student at a higher educational institution.

The job is an average of 10 hours per week and will be remunerated according to the price per hour established by the university.

The expected start date is June 15, but it is negotiable.
