Senior Summit Software Engineer in OTC Deal Capture Squad
To reinforce our position as the Nordic Markets Powerhouse, Danske Bank is making a major investment in our Markets Technology platform. As part of this journey, we are looking for an experienced Summit Software Engineer to help shape and drive the next phase of our Markets Simplification strategy.
Our squad is at the forefront of transforming the capital markets landscape at Danske Bank. We currently own and operate Summit for OTC deal capture, ensuring that our production environment runs smoothly and efficiently. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing this environment, collaborating closely with traders and stakeholders to enhance our operational capabilities.You will also be instrumental in building projects that extend Summit’s functionalities, enabling us to innovate and adapt to the ever-evolving market demands. You will:
- Improve the CI/CD and release pipeline for Summit changes (automation of build, deployment, regression testing, environment management) to increase reliability and reduce lead time.
- Collaborate closely with trading, risk, operations and quantitative teams to translate functional needs into Summit designs, clarify requirements and propose pragmatic technical options.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues in Summit (performance, trade booking, valuations, end‑of‑day processing), perform root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain custom extensions around Summit (interfaces, services, batch jobs, reports) using appropriate technologies (for example C++, C#, scripts, APIs, message queues) and ensure they are robust, secure and well documented.
- Optimise and extend Summit configurations (products, workflows, static data, pricing, risk parameters) using Summit toolsets and custom scripts to support new asset classes, instruments or business processes.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of Summit enhancements and fixes: analysis of business requirements, impact analysis on existing configurations and code, implementation, unit testing.
- Act as a subject matter expert and technical mentor for Summit within the team, reviewing code and configurations, defining best practices and contributing to the long‑term technical roadmap.
About you:
- A can-do attitude and great problem-solving skills
- Proven track record in project work in complex landscape.
- Experience working with financial markets and understanding Markets Domain is needed.
- Skills to see the big picture, understand underlying problems and break them down to small pieces.
- Ability to communicate technical capabilities in a non-technical and concise manner.
