Volunteer: PR & Communication Coordinator (Unpaid)

Since 2013, TechBBQ has worked to support and strengthen the Nordic ecosystem for entrepreneurship and innovation, based on the distinctive Nordic values of openness, inclusion, trust and meeting each other at eye level.

TechBBQ is Scandinavia's largest startup and innovation summit. For more information check out techbbq.dk [http://techbbq.dk]. We are looking for a volunteer to join our PR & Communications team from May through the end of August. This is an unpaid position, requiring availability 2–3 times per week, increasing to full-time (5 days per week) in August.

Your tasks include:

• Copywriting in English is required; some ability to write in Danish is preferred for select tasks.
• Developing article scopes
• Utilizing the interplay between PR, communication and marketing
• Building relationships with Danish and international media
• Assisting in writing of press releases, newsletters, articles and other written

• Conducting interviews with TechBBQ partners

You are:

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Interested in PR.
• A go-getter and self-starter
• A team player
• Open-minded, curious and like to interact with people from different backgrounds ● Able to keep a cool head in hectic situations
• Fluent in Danish and/or English, both written and spoken

With experience in:

• Writing, preferably in English, Danish is advantage.
• Concept development
• Correct use of grammar
• Research
