Do you want to combine a meaningful job with fresh air and socializing? Contact organisation Who should you meet with: The citizen is a 38-year-old man living in Højbjerg. He works as a blacksmith in a flexible job and describes himself as a calm man.He wants a walking partner in Højbjerg. He would like to meet with a partner once a week, preferably on Monday or Tuesday after 2 p.m. He wants a partner who is in his 30s, gender is secondary. Why become an activity buddy: You make a big difference for a person who misses activities in their everyday life.
You help give another person increased joy and quality of life. You can share interests and create a social connection in someone else's everyday life. You will gain experience with autism and the opportunity to participate in presentations about autism.
You will have new good experiences. How should it be done: The Activity Partner project is anchored in the SORAS Support and Social Services under Aarhus Municipality. You will be contacted by a volunteer coordinator from SORAS for a short conversation about the project and the possibilities.
After that, a match meeting will be arranged between the citizen (or the citizen's coping counselor) and you and the volunteer coordinator. At the meeting, you will agree on where and how often you will meet, as well as other agreements for the partnership.
We expect this from you: You are open-minded and can put yourself in someone else's shoes. You can set aside time weekly/every other week to meet with the citizen. You are reliable and keep your agreements. You can take the initiative for a specific agreement.
