IT Infrastructure Specialist
You will enable stable, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions As an IT Infrastructure Specialist at Blue Water Shipping, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the technology infrastructure that supports Blue Water Shipping business operations.
This includes hardware, software, networking, and cloud services. You will work closely with IT- and business teams to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs. Your responsibilities will include: Oversee and manage servers, networks, and storage systems to ensure optimal performance and availability Install new IT systems, ensuring they are successfully integrated into existing IT infrastructure Ensure security best practices are followed to protect data and systems from internal and external threats in collaboration with our IT security team Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner Participate in cross-team workgroups to assist in deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting complex systems when needed Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies Acting as 2nd and 3rd level escalation point for IT Service Desk Participating in the teams 24/7 on-call duty phone What you are bringing to the team As a person, you are driven by technology and have a strong ambition to excel.
You are self-motivated and curious and have the ability to engage in technical discussions across different levels of IT expertise. You have a good understanding of business needs and - problems and have a desire to work with solution design and architecture that adhere to industry standards.Additionally, you should have: Minimum 5 years’ experience working with enterprise infrastructure A strong technical knowledge within Microsoft infrastructure platforms, preferably with Azure cloud experience Experience with design and implementation of technology infrastructure solutions Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team We can offer you a dynamic role in a thriving company You will become part of the Core Services team.
The team currently consists of 6 IT Infrastructure Specialists located in Denmark and Poland, working closely together to provide stable and secure operations for Blue Water Shipping. The team manages a broad spectrum of technology solutions, from on-prem solutions such as VMware, Windows servers, Citrix and SAN storage, to Microsoft Intune / Autopilot and Azure infrastructure.The position will be located in Denmark, with base in Esbjerg, Taulov or Aarhus. Fluency in English is required, and occasional travel days to our office in Gdansk are to be expected. You will join an ambitious IT department, and company in rapid digital development.
