Senior Financial Controller (Maternity cover)
You will work closely with the Head of Financial Controlling, subsidiaries, external partners, and stakeholders across the organization. The role is a maternity cover for app. 10-12 months starting August 2026. About the role As our Senior Financial Controller, you will be responsible for driving and overseeing key financial controlling processes, including month-end and year-end closing activities, IFRS reporting, and financial compliance across the Group.
You will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while contributing to the continuous development of our finance processes and reporting standards. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to influence both processes and collaboration within an international finance environment.
Flying Tiger Copenhagen operates with a centralized Finance function based at HQ in Copenhagen, supported by an offshore Finance function based in India. In this role, you will collaborate daily with international colleagues and act as a key liaison between the local HQ and offshore team ensuring alignment, quality, and continuous improvement across the operations.
Your key responsibilities Financial Closing & Reporting: Responsible for various month-end and year-end closing processes Review and validate financial reporting from subsidiaries Support audit processes and Annual Report preparation IFRS & Compliance Take ownership of IFRS 16 accounting and reconciliations Support compliance and implementation of financial regulations Act as a key contact for IFRS-related questions Adhoc projects & Improvements Drive improvements in reporting and financial processes Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc projects Support development of financial guidelines and documentation About you We imagine that you: Have strong experience within financial controlling, or auditing Ideally come from an audit background combined with experience from an international company Have strong knowledge of IFRS — experience with IFRS 16 is a significant advantage Are highly skilled in Excel and comfortable working with financial systems Have strong analytical capabilities and a structured approach to your work Are proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused Thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working across teams and cultures Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken Flying Tiger Copenhagen offers: A fantastic central Copenhagen location Attractive pension scheme Private health insurance (including children) Flexible working, including the option to work from home A fun, social, and dynamic culture Events, Friday bars, staff clubs, and more An international workplace rooted in Scandinavian values Daily restaurant-quality food …and much more If you’re a senior finance professional excited to join a creative and fast‑growing company, we encourage you to apply.
