Digital Design / UX internship – help shape how our product looks and communicates
At Players 1st we build software used by more than 2500 golf clubs around the world. From our office in the center of Aarhus we work with clubs in Europe, the US, Australia and beyond – helping them understand their members and guests through data and feedback.
We’re still a small team. Around ten people work out of the Aarhus office, which means you quickly learn everyone’s name, what they’re working on, and how the coffee machine actually makes the good coffee.
Being a small team also means something else: interns here don’t sit on the sidelines.
You’ll be involved in real projects, work closely with the team, and help build things that the whole company ends up using.
Right now we’re looking for an intern who would like to help us strengthen how we visually communicate our product.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO
A big part of the internship will revolve around Figma. Over time we’ve built a lot of assets, layouts and visuals – but like many growing companies, things have grown a bit organically. One of the things we would love help with is bringing more structure to our design library.
You’ll help us organize and strengthen the design foundation we use when communicating our product.
That includes things like:
- Helping organize and improve our Figma library
- Creating reusable templates for feature launches and product campaigns
- Supporting design assets for product updates and announcements
- Developing visual templates that the whole team can reuse
Alongside that, you’ll also work with how we explain new features to customers.
When we launch something new in the platform, we often need visuals, examples or small pieces of content that help customers understand what the feature actually does and why it matters.
This part of the role might involve:
- Creating simple product marketing assets for launches (for example templates in Canva)
- Assisting with case studies and product documentation
- Helping create materials that explain new features to customers
In other words, you’ll help translate product development into something people can actually understand.
WHO WE IMAGINE YOU ARE
You’re probably studying something like digital design, multimedia design, UX, digital product design or information science. It’s not important to us where you study, but maybe it’s Aarhus Erhvervsakademi, AU or something completely different.
You’re comfortable working in Figma, but more importantly you’re curious about how digital products are built and communicated.
You might be someone who:
- Likes structure and systems in design
- Enjoys turning messy assets into clean templates
- Is curious about how product features get launched and explained
- Doesn’t mind saying “I think we could organize this better”
You don’t need to know anything about golf. Most of us didn’t when we started.

We work closely together across roles, and because we’re not that many people, you’ll easily become a part of the team.As an intern you’ll get a mentor who’ll make sure you’re both thriving and developing throughout your internship.
Our office is located in the center of Aarhus, and the social part of work is something we actually prioritize. Sometimes that’s a Friday drink, sometimes it’s battling in mini-golf after hours. But every day it’s a great lunch with informal chats.
THE PRACTICAL STUFF ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
The internship is unpaid and full time (37 hours per week), and we’re flexible when it comes to start date. Most internships run between three and six months.
