Research and PhD Support Office – Copenhagen Business School

Are you an organized, proactive student looking to gain hands-on experience at a major international workplace? The Research and PhD Support Office at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is looking for a dedicated and self-reliant student assistant to join our team.

About the Department

Our office consists of approximately 24 staff members and supports both the Dean of Research and CBS departments in research-related matters. We also handle the administration of the CBS PhD programme. Located at Porcelænshaven, near Frederiksberg Gardens, we are an international department where English is the working language.

As our student assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the department run smoothly and efficiently, supporting both staff and activities across the team.

Job Responsibilities

Your tasks will vary, and you’ll be involved in many practical aspects of our daily operations, including:

  • Data entry and grant application databases
  • Managing and purchasing office supplies
  • Procuring IT equipment and providing basic user support
  • Maintaining inventory and supplies
  • Keeping our kitchens, printer rooms, and shared spaces organized
  • Handling helpdesk tickets related to campus services
  • Providing extra support at departmental events
  • Performing general administrative tasks

You will work 15 hours per week throughout the year during normal office hours (8:00–16:00), with flexibility around your class and exam schedules.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is enrolled in a higher education programme and has completed at least one year of studies
  • Is organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Is friendly and enjoys working with people
  • Speaks and writes English fluently; Danish is a plus
  • Has a good command of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in working with quantitative and qualitative data is an advantage

Salary and Employment Conditions

Employment will be in accordance with the HK collective agreement and the general agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and OAO-S.

The hourly wage is between DKK 140.57 and DKK 147.46, depending on your qualifications and relevant experience. A 15% pension contribution is included.

Note: You must be an active student at a higher education institution to be eligible for the position.
