Further information can be found at www.fertin.com and www.pmi.com Financial Controller Driving controlling excellence in an international company As Financial Controller you will report to the Director Finance Controlling and have responsibility for Financial Controlling, including delivering valid, timely, and business-relevant reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
You will drive continuous optimization of internal controlling processes while ensuring the highest level of compliance. You will also act as a key sparring partner for finance peers in group subsidiaries in India and Canada. Your primary tasks will include: Oversee all financial reporting; prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with accounting standards (DK GAAP/US GAAP) and relevant regulations As part of a GROUP function in DK, set framework and provide guidance for entities in Canada and India Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors Drive process improvements and optimize financial operations Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data Implementation of internal controls and financial procedures Together with IT, be part of utilizing SAP (SAP Superuser setup in Functions) Projects: CAPEX and R&D – follow-ups with business and correcting accounting treatment Analytical tasks, balance sheet reconciliation, accruals etc.
Success will not only be measured by ensuring timely delivery of tasks, but also by your understanding and interest in the business, including taking responsibility and ownership for own area of responsibility and having the courage to learn something new.Experience as a Finance Controller A relevant financial education is required, preferably a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Administration and Auditing (or similar), combined with minimum five years of experience in Financial Controlling and/or Auditing, ideally from a multinational company.
You have proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, and you are comfortable taking ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting processes. You bring strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and financial reporting standards and can ensure a high level of compliance, incl implementation of internal controls and financial procedures, as well as coordination of annual audits and dialogue with external auditors.
You are an analytical and structured profile with strong problem-solving skills (process management). You are proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP, and have advanced Excel skills. As a person, you are robust, persistent, resourceful, detail-oriented and hands-on, with a positive mindset, accountability, and a strong drive to deliver results in a cooperative team environment.
Strong communication skills are needed, with the ability to communicate effortlessly in written and spoken English and living no more than an hour’s drive from the workplace in Vejle.
