Senior Tax & Compliance Specialist Are you ready to become globally responsible for the local implementation of group policies and for ensuring an optimized, aligned, and business-relevant tax, transfer pricing and compliance setup?
It is important that you can see yourself in a role where results are created through close interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. You will therefore serve as the primary day-to-day contact for external partners (consultants, auditors and tax authorities) as well as for finance controlling colleagues in the group’s subsidiaries.Broad and challenging role in an international context With reference to Fertin’s Director of Finance Controlling, you will be responsible for tax and financial compliance matters in Denmark, India and Canada. You will become part of a dedicated and competent finance team in Vejle and work closely with internal experts in all countries.
Your area of responsibility includes, among other things, the following tasks: Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from national and international tax authorities Cooperate with global tax advisors and the PMI team to ensure smooth and fast resolution of issues Support annual tax filings with the Danish tax authorities Support transfer pricing documentation and implement and document transfer pricing policies and intercompany transactions Ensure consistent implementation of PMI group policies across the three countries Document, adapt and facilitate implementation of the 35–40 selected financial SOX controls Drive transparent, active and relevant stakeholder management – externally as well as internally Train and guide employees and stakeholders on PMI policies and SOX controls You can work independently and drive results by engaging others and collaborating effectively You have an educational background in economics, law or tax, at a minimum at bachelor level and gained solid experience from a role with similar tasks in a multinational and complex organisation, preferably within manufacturing and product development.
You have documented experience with Danish tax and VAT reporting and compliance from either an audit firm, consultancy or a larger international company, ideally with international subsidiaries outside Denmark. You don’t need to be a tax expert in both Canadian and Indian tax legislation yourself, but you should understand the potential challenges and act as a facilitator to the relevant tax consultants in the respective countries.Preferably, you have experience with internal controls and implementing group policies in a local context or, at a minimum, the willingness to learn. A robust and strong communicator with the ability to influence We are looking for a profile characterised by solid business understanding and the ability to prioritise and drive several workstreams simultaneously.
As a person, you are robust, persistent, resourceful, detail-oriented and hands-on, with a positive mindset, accountability and a strong drive to deliver results in a cooperative team environment. Finally, you have intercultural experience and strong communication skills, enabling you to deliver training both virtually and in person and to communicate effortlessly in written and spoken English.
You possess the ability to influence your colleagues and the wider organisation through persuasion, collaboration and well-argued reasoning, and you live within approximately one hour’s drive of the workplace in Vejle.
