Novo Nordisk Foundation Cellerator is poised to spearhead advancements in the cell therapy ecosystem by establishing and operating a state-of-the-art process development and GMP manufacturing facility. Cellerator has ambitions on future data usage for fast development activities and implementation of advanced analytics tools.Cellerator will operate as a philanthropic entity dedicated to the development and manufacturing of cell-based therapies, serving both academic institutions and the industry alike.
The Job
We’re looking for a Data Engineer who’s not just fluent in data pipelines and cloud platforms, but able to work in a laboratory setting. This is a cross-functional and highly impactful role at the interface between cell therapy development work, data engineering, lab operations and microservice enablement.
Your key tasks will include:
o Daily collaboration with cell therapy scientists and other business functions to ensure high-quality data on our information platform.
o Establishing ETLs, design and deploying scalable data architecture
o Set up and configure lab equipment, sensors and proof of concept solutions with the aim of collecting meaningful information.
o Build micro service solutions in collaboration with cell therapy scientists and manufacturing staff.
About you
Due to the novel nature of Cellerator, curiosity outside of one’s own area is highly valued. You pride yourself with your analytical mindset and structured approach to your tasks. Your former colleagues still talk about your excellent stakeholder management skills, and they miss working with you due to your ability to create both results and good relationships with the people around you.You enjoy rolling up their sleeves and getting hands-on with lab equipment, microservice platforms and PoC setup.
We also imagine that you have:
- 3+ years of experience from a similar role
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure), data lakes, and SQL/NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with Python, and preferably tools like Apache Airflow and Kafka
- Experience working with scientific instrumentation, IoT devices, or lab environments is a major plus
- Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, subnets, device addressing) and configuration of lab or industrial hardware is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work in a fast-moving startup environment
- Experience working with microservice platforms
- Experience working in a regulated environment e.g. GMP.
