Product Manager, Surveillance Radars
XENTA is a state-of-the-art X-Band FMCW sensor system, developed for high-performance 3D air surveillance of all types of air threats. Your role and responsibilities As a Product Manager in the Surveillance Radar domain, you will join a growing XENTA Product and Sales team focusing on taking Weibel’s new Surveillance sensors to the market. The role will include close collaboration with the Sales team, Bid-management as well as our engineering domain, to enable fast turn-around on market requests for information and requests for proposals.
The Product Manager is a vital link between the engineering and sales domain, as well as a key person understanding and translating Customer needs into new features and product definitions. The position will require a high level of self-drive and require you to take ownership of tasks related to RFI/RFQs scope, accurate technical data, and market and competitor understanding through timely and high-quality deliveries.
Key responsibilities: Technically supporting proposals from commencement of bid through to contract Liaison with Bid management and Engineering for timely submission of technical scope Prepare/Maintain Product Datasheets and White Papers Work closely with Marketing to prepare/maintain Website product information Support updates of Product Specifications for each product-line Drive Product Requirements baselines Prepare Product Requirement specifications and Statement of Works for third-party components Liaison with potential Suppliers, Partners and Customers Support planning and execution of Product evaluation and demonstrations Develop technical descriptions for existing or new scope Marketing planning, including mapping of relevant market segments and definition of success criteria for target segments Travel up to 50 days per year can be expected.
Your qualifications and background You have prior experience in Product Management and/or relevant Engineering discipline within the Defence Industry. Experience with sensor systems will be a must, experience with radar systems will be considered an important advantage.Our expectations: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global, and complex environment Experience with sensor systems, preferably radars Experience with, or strong interest in working within a Product Sales Organization Ability to juggle multiple tasks whilst maintaining sight or overview on important details Ability to prioritize and manage many immediate requests Strong team player Time management skills, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow up English at negotiation level is a must (spoken and written) The position will require that you obtain a security clearance.
