Laboratory Technician Apprentice (Laborantelev)
NMD Pharma is a clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing novel therapies to restore skeletal muscle function and improve the lives of people living with neuromuscular diseases. Our lead development candidate, ignaseclant (formerly NMD670), is a first-in-class skeletal muscle–targeted therapy currently in clinical development across several neuromuscular indications.
NMD Pharma is at an exciting stage of growth as we advance our clinical programmes and continue expanding our scientific capabilities. To support this journey, we are looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our laboratories at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.Start-up is expected to be on 1 September 2026.
As an apprentice at NMD Pharma, you will gain hands-on laboratory experience in a professional biotech environment while supporting research and development activities within neuromuscular diseases. You will work closely with experienced laboratory technicians and scientists in a collaborative environment where quality, scientific integrity and teamwork are central to how we work.
Key responsibilities
During your internship, you will be trained and involved in relevant laboratory tasks under supervision. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting daily laboratory operations and experimental work
- Performing routine laboratory techniques within molecular biology, cell biology and/or biochemical assays
- Preparing buffers, reagents and test materials
- Assisting in maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Documenting work in accordance with internal procedures and GLP
- Contributing to maintaining a structured, safe and compliant laboratory environment
- Participating in team meetings and scientific discussions as relevant
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this position we expect you to:
- Have completed the school-based part of the Danish laboratory technician (laborant) education programme prior to internship start
- Be motivated to learn and develop practical laboratory skills
- Work in a structured and detail-oriented manner
- Demonstrate responsibility and a strong sense of quality
- Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Have basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
- Be able to communicate in Danish and English (documentation is primarily in English)
Previous experience with laboratory techniques such as pipetting, analytical methods or cell culture is an advantage but not a requirement.
