Junior Analyst – Planetary Health Investments, Private Equity

Novo Holdings is looking for Junior Analysts to join our Planetary Health Investments Private Equity Team.
As a Junior Analyst in Planetary Health Investments, you will take on challenging and varied responsibilities, contributing to both investment processes and the active ownership of life-science companies. The role will equip you with a comprehensive and top-tier skill-set that serves as a strong steppingstone toward a career in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity.Our Junior Analysts typically stay with us for ~2 years before moving on to a full-time role within one of these industries.
The position will challenge your professional, academic, and intellectual capacity, and your tasks will include:
- Contributing to financial analyses of potential investment cases by creating and updating valuation models
- Conducting strategic and commercial analyses of potential investments and the markets they operate in
- Collecting, structuring, and efficiently communicating information on potential or existing investments
- Supporting the day-to-day management of deal flow
Together with 3-4 other Junior Analysts, you will join a dynamic and growing team of ~25 investment professionals based across Europe, North America, and Asia, bringing experience from scientific fields, management consulting, private equity, and investment banking.
As part of your learning and development, you will receive continuous feedback from and engage in sparring with the team. You will further become a part of the Novo Holdings student network and will receive structured training and development programmes to accelerate your professional development even further.We invest substantial resources in our Junior Analysts’ personal and professional development and expect strong commitment in return.
The workload is ~20 hours a week with flexibility in relation to your studies.
For the right candidate, we can also offer a one-year full-time position following the completion of your bachelor’s degree, providing an opportunity to strengthen your application for a top-tier master’s program abroad and to further enhance your professional development.
Profile
We are ideally looking for candidates who:
- Are in 2nd or 3rd year of a bachelor’s degree (e.g. HA Almen, International Business, Economics) or 1st year of a master’s degree within finance and/or strategy (e.g. FIR, FSM, AEF, Economics)
- Have achieved excellent academic results and are ranked within the top of the line of study
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Have experience with the MS Office package, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Are analytically strong, with the ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining attention to detail
- Genuine interest in finance and are motivated to develop professionally in a fast-paced environment
- Are team players and who thrive in a collaborative and international work environment
