Part-time professorship in Environmental and Climate Economics
The Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen (UCPH) invites excellent candidates for a part-time professorship in Environmental and Climate Economics.
The position is a permanent, part-time position, available from 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the post include contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the University of Copenhagen by conducting world-class research and teaching. A professor is expected to develop the field in collaboration with other fields and exercise academic leadership.Moreover, the professor has administrative responsibilities.
General duties attached to the position of Professor in Environmental and Climate Economics are:
- Research within the field of Environmental and Climate Economics.
- Teaching, supervision, and examination of undergraduate and post-graduate students.
- Administrative tasks.
- Knowledge sharing with the rest of society.
- Research and teaching management.
- Raising external research grants.
Your Competencies and Opportunities
Applicants for the position are expected to have significant experience in research on Environmental and Climate Economics, as well as in knowledge sharing with the broader public. Moreover, qualified applicants must have extensive experience with the CGE models GrønREFORM and TargetEcon and be able to lead the research project “Measuring the economic, environmental and climate effects of the ’Aftale om et Grønt Danmark’ agreement.”

The position- The terms of appointment and salary are in accordance with the agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (Akademikerne).
- The position is part-time: 25 percent of a full-time position (9,25 hours per week).
- The salary is DKK 15,088 monthly (April 2026 level) + a 18.07 % contribution to the pension scheme. It is possible to negotiate salary supplements on an annual basis.
