Procurement Manager / Head of Procurement for a Global CleanTech Company
An attractive opportunity to take responsibility for procurement in a Denmark-based CleanTech company with projects worldwide and significant growth potential. The position is based in Ballerup.
The Position
At LiqTech, you will be responsible for securing the procurement of components and raw materials through agreements with our current and future partners, while continuously optimizing these processes for our various products. This means taking a proactive role in collaboration with colleagues to ensure the right quality and price for the materials used in our systems.
You will take the responsibility for strategic and tactical procurement, through close collaboration with LiqTech experts within System Assembly, Ceramic production, R&D, Supply Chain, After-Sales, and Quality across our three sites.
This is a role where you will work independently with procurement and, through your expertise, set new standards for LiqTech’s ability to meet customer expectations on both price and quality. You will report directly to our Site Director in Ballerup, but you will work across all sites (Hobro and Ballerup) regarding the tasks below.
Key Responsibilities- Actively contribute to cost optimization initiatives in close collaboration with R&D and production
- Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible price, quality, and delivery time
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships with a focus on long-term collaboration
- Read and understand technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate procurement
- Optimize procurement of technical components and materials for production and development projects
- Participate in supplier evaluations and audits
- Assess alternative solutions and components in cooperation with R&D
- Support project teams with technical procurement expertise and supplier input
- Drive "make vs. buy" decisions for parts of our systems
- Proven experience with negotiations and contract management
- Technical educational background, e.g., Marine Engineer, Production Technologist, Engineer, or similar
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical procurement within a production or development company
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, bills of materials, and specifications
- Experience in project management and execution follow-up
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Experience in cost optimization and supplier development
- Experience in negotiation and managing contract manufacturers
- Proficient user of ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365, and MS Office
- Knowledge of quality standards and documentation requirements is an advantage
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Danish and English
