Your role As VP, Head of Cross-functional Evaluation, you are the single point of accountability for the integrated, cross‑functional evaluation of external opportunities sourced through Business Development and External Innovation. Working closely with the CSO, Head of External Innovation, and Head of BD, you will lead evidence‑based recommendations that shape LEO Pharma’s future innovation portfolio.
Lead and direct cross‑functional evaluation teams to deliver robust, timely recommendations for BD Steering Committee decision‑making Set the strategic direction and opportunity vision, ensuring alignment with LEO Pharma’s innovation strategy Drive integrated scientific, development, CMC, regulatory, and commercial assessments, ensuring integrity and strategic quality Represent the evaluation team in BD Steering Committee meetings and relevant governance forums Ensure seamless handover to due diligence teams and clearly articulate key risks, opportunities, and focus areas The role offers A highly visible VP‑level leadership role with direct impact on LEO Pharma’s external innovation funnel Strategic influence across science, development, commercial, and business development functions The opportunity to shape future dermatology and immunology assets from early evaluation through governance decisions A truly empowered matrix leadership position within a flat, collaborative organization Your qualifications To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications: MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent scientific degree 10–15 years’ experience in pharmaceutical drug development, ideally within dermatology, immunology, or immuno‑inflammatory disease Proven experience leading assets through early and/or late‑stage development and regulatory interactions Deep understanding of end‑to‑end drug development, including translational science, clinical strategy, regulatory pathways, and lifecycle management Strong business and commercial acumen, with experience shaping Target Product Profiles and development strategies LEO Pharma is built on collaboration, innovation, and curiosity.
You bring an enterprise mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to align and inspire senior stakeholders across a complex, global matrix. Your new team You will lead a senior, cross‑functional evaluation team comprising experts from Research, Development, CMC, Regulatory, Commercial, and key markets.The team works globally and collaboratively to ensure rigorous, fact‑based decision‑making in support of LEO Pharma’s innovation strategy.
