Group Financial Controller We are seeking an experienced, hands
- on, and operational Group Financial Controller to take a leading specialist role in our international finance function, supporting a globally integrated value chain from production to retail.
This role is ideal for a financially strong professional with an audit background and a passion for structure, governance, consolidation, and process excellence—someone who thrives on being close to the numbers and driving improvements across countries and functions.
As a key finance specialist, you will work closely with our Finance Director in Poland and act as a strategic partner to the Group CFO in Denmark, ensuring financial transparency, scalability, and operational robustness across our international setup.
With regular presence in Poland, you will play a central role in strengthening our Shared Service Center and driving financial performance and discipline across the organisation.The position is part of our international finance leadership team, collaborating closely with global operational stakeholders and situated at the golab HQ in Farum, Denmark.
It is a specialist role with no direct reports.
The person reports to the CFO (Denmark), with close collaboration with the Finance Director (Poland).
Key Responsibilities Group Consolidation & Reporting- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and FX translation.
- Own the group reporting calendar, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions from subsidiaries and the SSC.
- Prepare management reporting for the CFO/Executive team and support Board-level packs.
- Drive financial governance and consistency of reporting across the full global value chain (manufacturing → logistics → retail).
- Responsible for follow-up on month-end findings — including inventory, cash counts, and other discrepancies — ensuring strong controls, clear processes, and timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant local GAAPs and lead technical accounting assessments, including the implementation of new standards.
- Act as primary liaison for external audit at group level: coordinate audit requests, ensure documentation quality, reconciliations, and audit trail supporting the Finance Director.
- Act as a trusted sparring partner to the CFO and Finance Director; collaborate with leaders across markets and functions.
- Audit background (Big4 or similar), with hands-on experience in group consolidation and technical accounting.
- Proven track record with complex group structures.
- A practical, operational approach—comfortable rolling up your sleeves and driving processes end-to-end.
- Experience working with global value chains and cross-border finance processes.
- Demonstrated exposure to Shared Service Center environments and international finance operations.
- Skilled in process optimisation, standardisation, and building scalable financial structures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to challenge, influence, and drive change across countries and organisational levels.
- High attention to detail and quality; comfortable setting the bar for governance and best practice.
- Proficiency with consolidation/reporting tools, including super-user in AX, and advanced Excel.
- Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent English; other European languages are a plus.
The position will involve regular presence in Poland to partner with the SSC and key stakeholders.
