Finance Manager

Your Role

As Finance Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the company’s financial operations, leading a team of three finance professionals.

Reporting directly to the General Manager in Denmark, you will act as a strategic financial partner, providing key insights and support to various departments across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with the management team in Denmark as well as the global finance team in the US, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and strategies.

Occasional travel (10-15 days per year) may be required.

• Lead and manage a team of three.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including forecasts.
• Develop annual budgets and strategic reports in collaboration with the management team.
• Manage sales reporting, sales budgets, and forecasts, providing insightful analyses of contribution margins.
• Perform contribution margin analysis in close collaboration with the global sales teams.
• Coordinate the preparation of audit materials (PBC) for external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and mitigate risks and fraud within the organization.
• Participate in business reviews with key stakeholders.
• Oversee the payroll process, working closely with HR, the finance team, and external partners.
• Handle tax reporting, including supervision of annual statutory obligations, tax calculations, VAT, and Intrastat reporting.
• Drive the upgrade of the company’s ERP system (potentially to Business Central) in close collaboration with IT and relevant stakeholders.

Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in finance and at least five years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing company. Alternatively, if you have a background in accounting and are looking to transition into a broader financial management role, this could be an ideal opportunity.

You have a well-structured approach to your work, keen attention to detail, and a hands-on attitude while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture. Additionally, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

• A relevant degree, such as Cand.merc.aud., HD-R, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of Danish accounting and tax laws.
• Familiarity with US GAAP is an advantage.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP BPC, Navision, or similar ERP systems is preferred.
• Full professional proficiency in both Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on developing your team.
• Experience in collaborating with teams outside DK is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities and strong analytical skills.
• The ability to deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver in a timely manner
