Engineering Manager for Electronics team

Inspiring people management In this position, your main focus is to support and enable our antenna electronics development team.
The team is responsible for delivering the electronics part of Weibel’s large radar antenna portfolio. The electronics in the antenna comprises almost all classical electrical engineering disciplines – Power supplies, analog signal chains, wiring harness, digital control and processing electronics as well as RF design.
This naturally requires the collaboration of specialists in each field to navigate the trade-offs and create the best overall design solution. You create these solutions together with your growing team of electronic design engineers working in close collaboration with the rest of the Antenna group, the project managers, and the production team.
Your primary tasks are to: Lead, motivate and develop the team to meet objectives and future needs Set goals and priorities for your team of engineers, especially for the work outside of customer project deliveries Cross functional collaboration with colleagues inside and outside the Antenna group and our in-house production and assembly Participate in defining an Antenna product roadmap with your team and the rest of the Antenna group Manage the development and maintenance of the electronic part of Weibel’s Antenna platforms Contribute to on-going development of skills and competences Ensure quality of delivery and documentation Organize and see through test and integration of new technology Deliver support to the service teams and the radars in operation Solid knowledge within electrical engineering and leadership skills You have an engineering degree in electronics or a similar technical background.
Your career has provided you with some years of experience with high-performance and compliant electronic systems. To succeed, you can build a solid overview of the team, capacity and competence. You have a talent for stakeholder management in a matrix organization and the ability to work with colleagues across departments and project management.Furthermore, you bring an effective leadership toolbox that enables you to build, develop and motivate a high-performance team. With a sustained average growth rate of more than 25% per year, team leadership, team development and change management are all critical competences for this role.
Your technical experience covers most of the following topics either as a designer or line manager of specialists: Digital electronics Analog electronics Low noise DC-DC power converters (up to 1kW) RF or Microwave systems Mathematical modelling Design of electrical components including integration of PCBs into systems Design and test of electronic modules Regulatory & environmental e.g. CE requirements and preferably MIL-spec’ed systems Contact and application Please apply using the ”Apply” button.
