Intern Project & Event Management (Global Health & Migration)
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international event coordination, project management, and stakeholder engagement within the Danish and global health and migration setting.Working closely with the project team, the intern will contribute to the successful delivery of key activities by providing administrative, logistical, and coordination support.
The role involves collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners, assisting with meeting and event preparations, maintaining project documentation, and helping ensure that deliverables are completed efficiently and on schedule.This position is ideal for a motivated individual with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and an interest in global health, migration, policy, international development, or project management.
The position is unpaid. Working hours: full-time or part-time (negotiable but at least 15 hours per week).Your main responsibilities will be to:Support the planning and coordination of the global NCD event and migration matrix meeting.Maintain and update participant lists, invitations, and registration trackers.Schedule meetings and coordinate calendars with internal teams and external stakeholders.Prepare meeting agendas, presentation materials, briefing notes, and information packs.Take meeting minutes, document key decisions, and follow up on action items.Coordinate communications with speakers, participants, partners, and vendors.Assist with logistical arrangements, including venue coordination, travel, and accommodation where applicable.Track event timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure activities remain on schedule.Assist in quality-checking presentations, reports, and other event documentation.Support stakeholder engagement by responding to routine inquiries and ensuring timely communication.Coordinate document management, ensuring files are accurately organized and accessible to the project team.Assist with post-event activities, including participant feedback surveys, reporting, and lessons learned documentation.Provide general administrative support to the project team as required.Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by line manager.
Your profileYou are enrolled in a Danish University at bachelor’s or master’s level (mandatory) and interested in global health, migration, project/event management or humanitarian diplomacy. You have strong organisational and time management skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication in English.You pay attention to detail and have an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work collaboratively in an international, multicultural environment. Experience with project coordination or event management is an asset.We offerYou will get an opportunity to work with to build a professional network with the experienced professionals in the field of migration, global health and humanitarian diplomacy.
You will also gain practical experience in organising international technical and policy events and participate in the global NCD event on 26 of October 2026 in Geneva. The position is unpaid. The intern will be part of the Danish Red Cross Technical Quality and Impact unit.
