In this role, you will be responsible for event planning, stakeholder engagement and coordination, managing speakers, managing event budgets and more.The position is available from 1 December 2025, or as soon as possible. Expected start date and duration of employment This is a permanent position starting on 1 December 2025 or as soon as possible.
Job description The Event Manager Specialist, will be responsible for: Manage and coordinate all major events of CORC during the year, including Folkemødet Bornholm, CORC Yearly Meeting, Carbon Forum Conference, ect. Project management of the entire event process: from idea and planning to execution and evaluation.
Ensure stakeholder engagement by staying in regular contact and providing updates. Create engaging experiences that deliver value for participants and presenters Analyze data and feedback and translate it into concrete recommendations and improvements.
Collect data from CORC event participants and speakers Develop the CORC event experience Capable of handling multiple priorities and remaining composed during events, ensuring clear oversight and a service-minded approach if challenge occur.

Handle merchandise purchases for all CORC events Update CORC HQ team on event progress Develop and update the CORC webpage in collaboration with the Communications Manager Support team members who participate in events outside of CORC Plan and coordinate marketing activities to promote events in collaboration with the Communications Manager Plan and oversee travel arrangements related to events, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics for team members, management, and speakers Your profile You have a relevant background and experience with managing large events for research centers, preferably related to CCU.

You have past experience with Folkemødet at Bornholm You have experience in building strong relations with stakeholders on all levels You are recognized as motivating and empathetic. You are a strong and clear communicator in English and Danish in both writing and speaking, fitting easily into an international and Danish environment.
You have strong motivational, interpersonal skills and possess a high degree of creativity and independence. Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and being part of a communities of academics and business leaders is essential to succeed in the role.
A broad professional network within the business community is considered an advantage. Who we are The Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center (CORC) was established in 2022 and is a mission‐oriented international research center with headquarters at Aarhus University.
The center’s purpose is to develop novel science and early technologies for carbon capture and conversion for utilization. The Center comprises 15+ research groups at Aarhus University, Stanford University (US), Caltech (US), Rice University (US), University of Tübingen (DE), University of Copenhagen (DK) and Technical University of Denmark (DK).
