apartmentSyddansk Universitet placeOdense calendar_month
The laboratory of Henrik Dimke, Cardiovascular and Renal Research Unit at the Department of Molecular Medicine, University of Southern Denmark is seeking a highly motivated postdoc in the field of epithelial transport physiology. Focus will be directed toward understanding the importance of divalent cation channels and paracellular claudins in renal and intestinal handling of calcium and magnesium.

The postdoc position is expected to start in February 2026 and for a period of 30 months.

To address the role of divalent cation channels, the successful applicant will use inducible cell-specific transgenic strategies coupled with detailed physiological characterization of these models. This will be done using a variety of techniques including metabolic cage studies in mice, a range of molecular and biochemical techniques, primary culture, as well as imaging.

In addition to research, the duties of the postdoctoral fellow will also include administrative and teaching tasks.

The Research Unit of Cardiovascular and Renal Research focuses on innovative molecular and biomedical research related to cardiovascular and renal physiology. We offer a stimulating, international research environment where English is the preferred language at meetings and seminars.

You will work in the brand new NytSUND building being established in connection to the hospital and university campus with modern laboratories and animal facilities. You can read more about the department and the research units here.
