Who are we? The Finance Controlling section aims to provide qualitative and standardised financial support services to DRC operations, while ensuring financial performance. The section controls and oversees DRC’s accounting practices, the monthly and yearly closure, as well as the annual audit delivery.
Finance Controlling is part of the Global Finance Division, within the FRISC Department (Finance, Risk, IT, Supply Chain and Commercial contract). You will be joining a team of Finance Controllers who are working as partners with our DRC Operations in around 35 countries.
About the job The purpose of the position is to provide support to DRC operations as well as to perform monthly controlling of their trial balance. You will ensure quality financial data of the Country Operations, while also providing guidance to further develop the capacities of your finance colleagues.

Key responsibilities: Operational Finance Controlling Perform Month End Closure (MEC) controlling tasks to ensure country operations’ (COs) compliance (which implies controlling the Trial balances) Escalate issues to management as needed Assist countries with accounting-related tasks Support country operations in providing HQ Finance supporting documentation related to transactional finance Support countries with the Year End Closure and their eventual related statutory audit Country Expert Advice & Capacity Building Provide MEC capacity building to Finance colleagues in Country Operations Provide on demand expert advice to countries regarding accounting modalities (including support during COs Statutory audit) Provide countries with technical support related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 functionalities Be the focal point of Country Finance Manager, with regards to country accounting financial matters and technical inductions Special tasks You will also be involved in ad-hoc tasks, with the aim of improving the overall business financial capacities in DRC globally as well as participating in working groups, taskforces, etc.

About you To be successful in this role, we expect you to be a self-fulfilled professional, with high operational and ethical integrity, who can work autonomously in a day-to-day aspect.
Controlling and quality assurance are your strengths, with a focus on compliance, but also having a supporting mindset. Our working language is English. Arabic, French, and Spanish skills will be considered an advantage while speaking Danish is an added value.
All employees should master DRC's core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence and Demonstrating integrity. Moreover, we also expect the following: A degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration Accredited Chartered accountant by a renown international institution (desirable) Controller and accounting experience, preferably from an international organisation.

Ability to translate accounting issues to manageable solutions and being comfortable bringing these solutions to your colleagues and manager. Advanced user of Excel. Fluent in English, and at least one of French, Spanish or Arabic in advanced level We offer Contract length: Permanent Working hours: 37 hours per week including lunch break Workplace: Lyngbyvej 100, Copenhagen, or other DRC duty station Start date: 01 April 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC (agreement for Academics) or other relevant agreement on national terms.
