The positions are available for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. In electronic engineering, Aalborg University is known worldwide for its high academic quality and societal impact. The Department of Electronic Systems employs more than 200 people, of which about 90 are PhD students, and about 40 % of all employees are internationals.

Your work tasks You will conduct research at the intersection of AI, RF, and wireless communication.
Your main tasks include developing machine-learning methods for wireless interference detection, mitigation, edge intelligence, and applying AI to optimize RF and communication systems.
You will work with real measurement data and participate in both algorithm development and experimental validation.
You will collaborate with industrial and academic partners; get access to advanced laboratory and computing facilities, and contribute to publications and project.
Your competencies You have a strong research motivation in electronic engineering, wireless communication, applied AI, or a related field.
You have experience with machine learning and signal processing, and preferably knowledge of RF or wireless systems.
You can work with experimental data (e.g., baseband I/Q data), develop and evaluate algorithms, and communicate results clearly.
You enjoy collaborative research and can contribute to publications, project applications, and an active research environment.
Candidates based in the EU who can start at short notice will be given priority.
Who we are You will join the Department of Electronic Systems at Aalborg University, a leading European environment for research in wireless communication, microwave engineering, and applied AI.
Our research combines strong theoretical expertise with unique experimental facilities, including advanced RF laboratories and high-performance computing resources.
The positions are part of the AI RF Sensors research group, which develops AI-driven methods for RF, microwave, and wireless technologies in close collaboration with Danish and international industrial partners.
