Your Role
We’re looking for a curious, hands-on AI & Automation Intern to help us work smarter across teams.
This is a cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate with internal departments to build practical solutions using automation and AI tools.
You’ll contribute meaningfully to scaling TechBBQ’s internal systems, improving data flows, and enabling teams to operate more efficiently.
You’ll work independently on projects, with regular sparring and guidance from senior staff.
YOUR TASKS MAY INCLUDE:- Identify manual and repetitive processes across the organization and find ways to automate them
- Build and maintain automated workflows using n8n
- Use ChatGPT and Claude to develop AI-assisted research, drafting, and decision-support flows
- Work across department’s internal processes as part of daily operations
- Document processes clearly so teammates can use and maintain them independently
- Currently enrolled in a relevant programme (e.g. Computer Science, IT, Business & Technology, Data Science, or similar)
- Comfortable with tools like n8n, or eager to learn quickly
- Experienced with ChatGPT and Claude, including effective prompting
- Confident working with spreadsheets and data tools
- Curious and process-driven, with a focus on improving efficiency
- Strong communicator, able to explain technical solutions clearly
- Proactive, self-managing, and comfortable in a fast-paced team
- Prior internship or project experience in a startup or event environment
- Stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on experience building real automation systems used daily by a real team

Please note that this is an unpaid internship for students currently enrolled in a relevant study programme. The duration and scope will be agreed based on availability, with the possibility for the role to evolve over time.
