This year's campaign is “Youth against femicide - Strengthen the fight for women's rig... Contact organisation Next deadline for applications: 3/6 2026 Info meeting: 20/5 at 5-7 pm in Studiestræde 24 or online We are looking for you who are ready to throw yourself into important solidarity work with other young people around the world.
You who have the courage for the wildest personal development in an inspiring community with other young people. What is Operation Day Work? Operation Dagsværk is Denmark's student movement for global solidarity. Every year, students across Denmark choose a global collaboration and solidarity project.
It always focuses on young people and education. In this context, a campaign is developed that creates knowledge, solidarity and action among students throughout Denmark. Students who ultimately donate a day of their education to work on Dagsværksdagen, so that money is collected in solidarity with the young people in the chosen project.
Join the team as we develop Operation Day's Work campaign 2026 together with young activists in Turkey! Students at Danish high schools and continuing education schools have chosen to focus on femicide in Turkey in this year's campaign. In this year's project, we are working together with the Danish organization Center for Violence Prevention and the Turkish movement “We Will Stop Femicide Platform”.
You can read more about the project here: Stop Femicide in Turkey . It is precisely this campaign that you will have the opportunity to help create in collaboration with young volunteers in Turkey, and take part in spreading it to Denmark's youth in the fall of 2026.
In Operation Dagsværk there is room for everyone. We are looking for committed people who are passionate about global solidarity and want to contribute what you can and learn a lot of new things. Here you will get a very special opportunity to work with OD's broad movement and large network behind you.
Volunteering with us is for those who want to express themselves creatively or artistically, share your messages on a large platform, organize solidarity events, gain concrete skills in video production, graphic work or communication and mobilization, learn about organizing work and much, much more.
As a campaign volunteer, you are a crucial part of an intense campaign year, where you will continuously see concrete results, real action and change. We work decolonially and co-creatively and do away with classic tropes that prevail in development work; we learn from the young people we work with in this year's project country and stand in solidarity with them in the campaign for their rights!
Together with them, you will take part in creating a meaningful campaign, where their voices will be spread throughout Denmark and mobilize the OD's student movement to work in solidarity with young people's rights on Day of Work in November.
When can I become a campaign volunteer? We are looking for committed people who can dedicate themselves to volunteering with us throughout the 2026 campaign year. We know from experience from previous volunteers that it makes the most sense to be part of the campaign from start to finish, as this way you can both help create the campaign in the spring and spread the campaign towards the culmination on Labor Day in the fall.
If you cannot volunteer for a full year, you can also apply for half a year, either spring or autumn. As a volunteer, you work in the secretariat 20 hours a week, divided over days that you agree with the rest of the campaign team. As a volunteer for a full year, you work with the campaign for 9 months.
As a volunteer for half a year, you work with the campaign for 4-5 months. Here you can see what happens during the year in the work on the campaign: Spring (2/2 – 26/6) Launching the campaign and collaborating with the young people in the project country.
Grand meeting in OD, which is where all the crucial decisions for the movement are made by students from all over the country. Research trip (3-4 weeks) to Turkey, where we meet the young people who are part of the campaign and start developing the campaign together.
Development of campaign materials: posters, videos, stickers and much more Collaboration with Daycare groups around the country on the work of this year's campaign: holding workshops, mobilization activities and information events. Preparation of and participation in major events such as Folkemødet and Roskilde Festival.
Autumn (4/8 – 11/12) Introductory course in August where the spring volunteers hand over the campaign work and we prepare for the journey. Research trip (1-2 weeks) to Turkey, where you get to know the young people in the local organization better and continue the collaboration on the campaign.
Ongoing cooperation with young people in Turkey. Development of campaign activities; joint lesson presentations, workshops and information events at schools and other locations. Support and solidarity events with the opportunity to draw on our large network of other organizations and activists Joint hour tour, where you travel around the country and provide information about this year's campaign.
Visits from young people in the project country, who will travel around and give presentations. Collaboration with Daycare Groups on their campaign work in schools. Mobilization for and holding this year's Day of Work Day. Rounding off this year's campaign and starting further work on the project in Turkey.
What do you get out of being a volunteer? First and foremost: Opportunity to work for and engage other young people in an important cause. Thorough experience with campaign work, and what it means to create and disseminate a campaign in collaboration with the young people in this year's project country.
Strong relationships and community with local young people in the project country, with the other campaign volunteers and across the movement. A large platform and a strong network behind you when you are going to help spread this year's campaign to students throughout the country, but also others, including through major solidarity events.
Skills in the production of campaign materials such as posters, stickers, campaign videos and other relevant material that you will come up with in the volunteer group. Ongoing offer of workshops with our network of professional and experienced activists in the development of the campaign.
Experience in creating a strong awareness campaign, which includes, among other things, holding workshops, presentations and developing awareness materials such as educational materials. Training in dissemination and communication – both on social media, but also when you have to talk about this year's campaign in front of several hundred students.

Experience with organization and mobilization for Denmark's only global student movement. An experience and a community that will stay with you for the rest of your life
