In this role, you will contribute directly to shaping development that supports efficient system operation and a high level of operational security across the Nordic power system.This is a high-complexity role at the intersection of regulation, power system operations, IT architecture, vendors, and multiple internal services. You will not work alone — your main value is creating structure, alignment and clarity so that the right things are built at the right time.The role is well suited for someone who enjoys turning complex input from many stakeholders into clear priorities, roadmaps and decisions — and who is comfortable working in an environment where “the right answer” is often the result of dialogue rather than data alone.ResponsibilitiesYou will act as Product Owner for NorCap across its full lifecycle, with a strong focus on alignment and value creation:Build and maintain a clear product roadmap, pipeline and backlog, balancing regulatory requirements, operational needs, architectural constraints and development capacityAct as the main point of alignment between regulation, methodologies, services, operations, architecture, IT, quality assurance and external vendorsTranslate complex and sometimes conflicting input from stakeholders into clear priorities, decision proposals and trade-offsWork closely with a project manager and architects to sequence initiatives, manage dependencies, and maximize delivered business value rather than feature volumeEnsure a strong user and operator perspective, including change management and adoption of new functionalityTrack progress against roadmap and proactively highlight risks, inconsistencies, or opportunities for simplification and quality improvementSupport transparent communication and reporting on end‑to‑end product delivery, including scope, timing and assumptionsThe list of tasks will develop over time, and you will work together with the Capacity Manager to structure the role, so it fits your profile and career development.RequirementsYou do not need to “tick every box” to apply. We value complementary profiles and learning ability.Experience & backgroundHigher education (MSc or equivalent) in Engineering, Energy Systems, Power Systems, Electricity Markets, Sustainability — or equivalent experience from the energy sectorExperience (typically 5+ years) working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, e.g. product ownership, systems engineering, service development, or similar rolesExperience with product management, including roadmaps, stakeholder and user interaction, documentation, SLAs, budgets and backlog management, as well as close collaboration with application development (design, development, testing and release)Familiarity with regulated or operationally‑critical environments is an advantage, but not a requirementHow you workYou are highly structured and comfortable breaking down complex topics into manageable decisionsYou are able to facilitate alignment between stakeholders with different perspectives, priorities and levels of technical detailYou take responsibility for decisions, while being open to dialogue and feedbackYou are comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment at times, without it being the default modeCollaboration & communicationYou enjoy working in diverse, international teams and value perspective differencesYou communicate clearly in spoken and written EnglishYou are motivated by roles where success depends on cooperation rather than individual ownershipWhat we offer You will be joining a company of competent, diverse, and enthusiastic colleagues.
