Assistant Manager, ESG & Executive Projects
We are searching for a high energy and talented professional to join the Executive Projects team, to be based in Copenhagen. The Executive Projects team works closely with Hafnia’s executive management to define, drive, coordinate and execute Hafnia strategic projects.
You will function as an essential facilitator, providing key support to the Manager of the Executive Projects team to monitor the status of our projects, operationalize our strategic intentions, take lead on specific projects, and deliver support to the executive management.
The role represents a solid development opportunity as it will provide exposure to key business areas, provide hands-on opportunities within process optimization and make strategic intentions come to life, and on top of this, you will work closely with an experienced fast paced team.Furthermore, the role demands a very strong learning agility, interpersonal skills, and an affinity for being precise, structured and organized.
The main responsibilities of the Assistant Manager, ESG & Executive Projects will be to provide support on the following tasks:
- Overall reporting of strategic projects
- Execution of project tasks within assigned workstreams (e.g. Compliance project )
- Managing communication material such as company updates presentation (Townhalls), Monthly Board reporting and steering committees
- Interaction with the Senior Management team on the status of all projects Compliance Project (2020 specific project)
- Ensure we have proper policies/documentation in place and assist compliance owners to update them regularly
- Build and maintain common compliance platform (e.g. intranet) to share the definition, ownerships, relevant policies as well as recent updates/ news on all the different areas of compliance so we ensure that employees have easy access to compliance documentation
- Assist the compliance owners to structure, develop and maintain a training program on the different areas of compliance
- Increase general compliance awareness across Hafnia
- Ensure that programmes are followed, identify issues and solutions
- Assist on implementing projects relating to compliance such as digitalization on some processes (e.g. implementation of screening system)
- Bachelor’s degree from recognised educational institutions or relevant professional certificate
- Preferably with 2-3 years of experience in project management/management consulting/process optimization within the shipping/maritime industry
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly adapt to a changing environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Demonstrates knowledge of project management and process optimization
- Proficiency in Microsoft BI
- Structured in ways of working and addressing challenges
- Strong analytical skills with a sense for critical reasoning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
