Student Assistants to the Health Area
We are seeking Student Assistants to support our activities within the Health Area at the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
As our new Student Assistant, you will join the Health Area which encompasses six departments led by Professor Flemming Konradsen. The departments aim to promote significant advances and equity in the prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs), infectious diseases, and other key health outcomes through research, innovation, implementation as well as health economics and policy analysis.Furthermore, to improve nutritional health, food security and local food systems in LMICs and humanitarian settings.
We are now seeking 3-4 student assistants to provide support across the various departments with diverse analytical and administrative tasks.
The Job
As a Student Assistant, you will support the entire Health area, across the six departments, together with other student assistants. Your tasks will include:
- Assist in the planning, implementation and maintenance of various projects, programmes, and partnerships
- Support fact-finding, stakeholder mapping, scientific literature reviews, data collection and qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Conduct minor analyses and prepare written materials
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations
- Assist in coordinating, booking and execution of seminars, conferences, meetings and workshops, including planning missions, preparing briefing documents, and writing minutes
- Support communication efforts, incl. drafting material for social media platforms, newsletters and website maintenance
- Various administrative tasks
As part of your role, you will receive continuous feedback and engage in sparring with the team, and you will become a part of the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s student network. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend and gain insights from a variety of events, symposia, and experts at the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
The working hours will be approximately 12-15 hours a week with flexibility in relation to your studies. You will become part of a group of nine student assistants in the Health Area and will usually divide the days between you.
Professional and Personal Qualifications
We are looking for a person who possesses the right professional skills as well as a true interest within the field of science, social initiatives and humanitarian aid. Moreover, one who is eager to help people both in Denmark and around the world and is passionate about advancing cardiometabolic health through innovative research and transformative, equitable solutions.
Furthermore, we expect you to be:
- Currently in the 3rd year of a bachelor’s degree or 1st year master’s degree
- Study within Political Science, International Relations, Public/Global Health, Social Sciences, Molecular Biomedicine, Medicine, Human Biology, Food and Nutrition, Health Informatics, Health Economics or a related field.
- Proficient in the MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint. Proficiency in use of AI tools and platforms preferred.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Danish
