Senior Engineer
At the same time, our Architecture & Engineering function is entering an important phase of modernisation — evolving our tools, processes, and cloud capabilities. In this context, you will have a meaningful opportunity to influence how we design solutions going forward, contribute to defining engineering standards, and help shape the technical direction of the team.
You will act as a senior technical contributor while also serving as a bridge between the engineering team and programme management — helping estimate, plan, and deliver high- quality solutions.
Your input will be valued not only in implementation, but in architectural decisions, ways of working, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Based at our HQ in Strandgade, Copenhagen, you’ll work closely with our Head of Architecture and collaborate with engineers, programme managers, and senior business stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment.What you will be doing Design and build cloud-native solutions following MACH principles using Microsoft Azure and approved technologies Develop and maintain microservices using frameworks such as Django, Spring Boot or Node.js Work with technologies including Python, SQL/PLSQL, React and TypeScript Enhance existing solutions built on Streamlit and Azure components (e.g., Data Factory, MongoDB) Translate business processes into scalable technical solutions and automation opportunities Participate in design and code reviews to ensure engineering standards are upheld Provide documentation, demos, handover and training to business users and support teams Contribute to defining engineering standards and improving ways of working within the team Support Scrum-based delivery using tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira Who you are You are a senior technology professional with a strong engineering foundation and a pragmatic mindset.
You understand both backend systems and end-user impact — and you enjoy working in environments where business and technology move fast.Your qualifications 10+ years of experience in technology roles 4+ years as a Full Stack Engineer working with modern web technologies Solid experience with Python, SQL/PLSQL and front-end frameworks (React/TypeScript preferred) 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure Experience working with microservice architectures Experience with Scrum and modern delivery practices Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly A structured, analytical approach combined with curiosity and drive Experience within retail or working with AI-based solutions is a plus — but not a requirement.
