The first position is a fixed-term position for 3 years and the second position is a permanent position, both with starting date on 1 January 2026 or soon thereafter.The positions as international project manager at our department will be divided between an EU project and project support to project leaders in our department.
The applicant will be taken into consideration for both positions, unless the applicant states otherwise in the application.The positions will have specific tasks related to the European Partnership for Animal Health and Welfare (EUP AH&W).EUP AH&W consists of more than 90 participants, including 56 Research Performing Organizations and plans to run for ten years from 2024-2033.
EUP AH&W has started 17 Joint Internal Projects (JIPs) in 2024 and will start 16 JIPs in 2026 and further 2 JIPs in 2027.The internal program is managed by Work Package 3 – Joint initiatives and integration (WP3).
A core team (CT) consisting of members from Aarhus University (Denmark), INRAE and ANSES (France), Wageningen Research (the Netherlands), UAB (Spain), NVI (Norway), and University of Copenhagen (Denmark) will conduct the Work Package 3 tasks in collaboration with the JIPs.
Work Package3 is led by Professor Jan Tind Sørensen, Aarhus University.The candidate will be part of a three person AU support team to assist the WP3 lead and the rest of the CT.
Job Description The tasks of the project managers in relation to EUP AH&W are to support the WP3 CT and WP3 lead: Monitor the progress of the Joint Internal Projects (JIPs).
Ensure that the annual report is received timely, and that the content reflects the expected activities, including the deliverables and milestones.
Review the technical quality of the JIPs’ contributions to annual work programs.
Assist the Joint Internal Project leaders in managing the budget and the necessary administration in collaboration with the Coordinator Support Office at Ghent University, Belgium.
Organize meetings and workshops in the internal program.
Collaborate with Work Package 5 to facilitate dissemination activities related to the internal programme.
Provide the WP3 core group with an overview of JIP meetings and manage relevant SharePoint folders.
Provide technical support to AU contributions to JIPs.
The tasks as project manager supporting scientific staff at ANIVET can include: Support to management of larger scientific projects Development and management of websites Your profile We imagine that you have:An academic degree in biological science (e.g.
animal science, veterinary science or similar).Acquired project management experience from university or academia or from industry research and development.Experience from managing larger projects, preferably within an international consortium, will be considered an advantage.
