SYBO is part of the Miniclip family and known for the widely popular game, Subway Surfers - the most downloaded mobile game in the world, with over four and a half billion downloads. Located in the heart of Copenhagen, we aim to create playful moments that inspire our fans to care.
Millions of players are out there running, jumping, dodging trains, collecting rewards, and enjoying a smooth and reliable gaming experience… and they won’t even know it’s because of you!
Behind every Live Ops event, leaderboard update, inbox message, special offer, social feature, and game configuration sits a platform that needs to be fast, scalable, reliable, and ready for whatever tomorrow throws at it. Your work is the unsung hero's story.
We’re looking for a “Senior Platform Engineer” (internal title for the Full Stack role) to join us at SYBO and help shape the future of the systems that power our games. It’s a role with broad ownership, meaningful technical challenges, and the opportunity to influence how one of the world’s biggest mobile game franchises operates behind the scenes.
If you enjoy solving complex platform problems, balancing immediate Live Ops needs with long-term architecture, and building systems that millions of players indirectly rely on every day, we’d love to hear from you.

- Modernize and replace legacy systems, creating more robust, flexible, and extensible solutions for future games and teams.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions spanning APIs, data models, background services, cloud infrastructure, and web-based tooling.
- Own and improve our cloud infrastructure, deployment environments, and platform reliability using modern cloud-native practices.
- Strengthen observability across the platform through monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and operational excellence.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, helping ensure a reliable experience for millions of players around the world.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, product managers, analytics, and production to understand requirements and deliver platform solutions that create value across the business.
In your first month…
You’ll get fully onboarded into our platform ecosystem, learning how our services, infrastructure, tooling, and deployment environments work together. You’ll gain an understanding of our current capabilities, limitations, and biggest technical challenges while setting up and deploying services across local, development, staging, and production environments.
Within 3 months…
You’ll have developed a strong understanding of our platform strategy and the systems that powers our games. You’ll contribute to architectural discussions, take ownership of meaningful platform initiatives, and help modernize some of our most important services.

Key modernization efforts will be well underway, platform foundations will be stronger, and observability and operational excellence will be significantly improved. You’ll be part of a team that delivers a healthy platform eco-system that's scalable through our projects - new or old.
REQUIREMENTS- Proven experience building, operating, and scaling production backend services that support large-scale applications or products.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, API design, data modeling, and the trade-offs involved in building reliable and scalable platform services.
- Experience working with cloud-native infrastructure, containers, orchestration platforms, and infrastructure-as-code technologies. (Our stack includes technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform, although equivalent experience is equally valuable)
- Strong operational mindset with hands-on experience in monitoring, observability, incident response, and production support.
