We are now looking for a commercially minded Feed & Forage Industry Manager to take ownership of one of our most exciting global segments and grow it. What you will be doing As our new Feed & Forage Industry Manager, you will take commercial ownership of FOSS’ global Feed & Forage segment – setting the strategy, shaping the product and solution roadmap, and driving profitable growth for FOSS solutions across instruments, software and services.
Reporting to the Grain & Feed Business Unit Director and sitting at the center of our Marketing & Business Innovation team, you will be the commercial engine that connects R&D, marketing, product management and our sales and service teams globally.
It is a rare opportunity to think strategically across the full innovation pipeline from idea, development, launch and portfolio management for the feed & forage segment. Expect to travel the world, work across the entire organization, and see your decisions move the needle on how the planet feeds its animals.
Key responsibilities include: Own the commercial strategy for the Feed & Forage segment and translate trends, insights and market intel into an execution plan Drive the product, solution and application roadmap – from early-stage ideation through the new-product-development gate process – bringing new hardware, software and digital solutions to market in close collaboration with business innovation, launch, marketing, product management and R&D to turn innovation into sales.
Drive key market analyses and initiatives – building data-driven segment and regional recommendations and presentations to management & sales teams globally. Be the global commercial voice of the segment: map the market, seize opportunities, track competitors and equip our sales subsidiaries and Industry Operations Teams to win.
Represent Feed & Forage to Corporate Management through quarterly performance and strategy reviews, while building strong relationships with key global accounts and partners. What we hope to see you bring The right person is curious about the food and agriculture industry, energized by working across the entire organization with global stakeholders.
We hope to see you bring: A master’s degree within a commercial, technical, food or agricultural discipline – and the business acumen to set and communicate a clear strategic direction. Solid commercial experience from B2B technical or solution sales, marketing or business development – ideally within food, agriculture, feed or analytical instrumentation.
A strong marketing toolbox: managing a product portfolio, pricing and promotion, and building go-to-market and product launch plans. Experience selling or marketing combined hardware, software and service solutions, and the ability to make complex technical value understandable to a broad audience.
Proven stakeholder management across teams and cultures – comfortable working with customers, partners and colleagues across R&D, marketing, product and global subsidiaries. A self-starting, accountable mindset with the curiosity and resilience to drive opportunities all the way from idea to revenue.
Willingness and flexibility to travel globally (around 30–50 days per year) to meet customers, partners and FOSS colleagues worldwide. Why choose FOSS?
